Our excellent financial and operational skills coupled with decades of experience make us the perfect lead organisation, consequently taking the operational burden off smaller organisations who are fully embedded at grass roots, and allowing smaller organisations to naturally access clients who are usually targeted through mainstream employment and skills funding.
Since our launch in 1983, we have managed Enterprise and Employment support programmes both for and on behalf of DWP, namely Training for Work programmes, New Deal, Flexible New Deal, Work Programme and Work Routes; Home Office and Prison contracts; Regional Development Agencies and Business Links; local authority funded programmes and private sector led projects. We have delivered European funding programmes and are familiar with ESF and ERDF procedures.
As the lead partner working in partnership with smaller organisations, BES has enabled smaller organisation to access some of the more difficult funding available and allowing the smaller organisations to focus on project delivery with BES taking on the more onerous requirements of contract management.
